Safety, progress and smooth transitions in care

In-hospital physiotherapy visit

In-hospital physiotherapy visit

The in-hospital physiotherapy visit is a clinical intervention provided inside the hospital to assess, mobilize and support the functional recovery of inpatients—helping ensure stability, safety and progress throughout their stay.

Care is focused on preserving function, preventing complications and preparing the patient (and family) for the next stage of care.

Our objectives include:

  • Maintain or improve the patient’s mobility.
  • Help prevent complications related to immobility.
  • Support functional recovery after a medical, surgical or neurological condition.
  • Facilitate a safe transition home or to another rehabilitation unit.
  • Educate family and staff on postural care and safe mobilization.

In-hospital physiotherapy helps keep patients safe during their stay, reduces complications and supports the earliest possible recovery of motor skills. We also teach you how to care for them and move them correctly.
